We invite you to join us to our upcoming free lecture titled “Is Jesus’ Healing Work a Model for Today?“. Alexandre Fischer, a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship will discuss Christian Science and how it explains the practical application of Jesus’ teachings in daily life, for anyone. God is not far off, but here and now. We’re all capable of understanding this for ourselves.

The Lecture will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 3:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Princeton, and we are pleased to offer free childcare services for attendees.

“Our Master said, ‘After this manner therefore pray ye,’ and then he gave that prayer which covers all human needs…. Here let me give what I understand to be the spiritual sense of the Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father which art in heaven,

The Ten Commandments

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
