The message is clear and simple. Heaven is within us, and not a place in the future. It is a mental and spiritual state without a single element of delay or waiting that is at hand as Christ Jesus taught. This lecture takes a look at how we can bring healing, restoration and regeneration to our lives by actively living moment by moment in the kingdom of harmony.
It shows how prayer and the expression of such attributes as mercy, justice and unselfishness can reveal this ever-present kingdom right in the midst of the most difficult situations. Proofs of healing help to develop these ideas and show that we can be eyewitness to divine Love’s all-inclusive government and control that is, as The Lord’s Prayer says, “on earth as it is in heaven.”

Spanish: José de Dios, es originalmente de España, pero desde hace años ha estado viviendo en los Estados Unidos de America. Durante su juventud mantuvo una inquietud especial por la música, por lo que decidió estudiar guitarra enfocando su afición especialmente en el Flamenco. Esto lo llevó a formar su propio grupo ofreciendo espectáculos en diversos escenarios.
Mas tarde, trabajó para el Gobierno por una década, siendo un agente especial de los Servicios de Inteligencia, durante los últimos cinco años de ese período. En su trayectoria personal se le presentó un enorme desafio a comienzos del año 1979 . La repentina enfermedad de un familiar que los médicos no encontraban solución para su restablecimiento, así como la pérdida casi total de su propia audición, provocada por una lesión congénita,de la que se le dijo quedaría completamente sordo sino era intervenido inmediatamente, – por lo que no podía continuar trabajando en la posición que ocupaba hasta no ser operado- le obligó a buscar una solución a estas necesidades. Optó por no ser intervenido quirúrgicamente; y después de un periplo en diferentes alternativas por las que pasó, en Diciembre de ese año, José de Dios, fue introducido a la Ciencia Cristiana por un Médico a quien enseñaba guitarra, y conocía su renuencia a la medicina convencional, por lo que lo animó a explorar este sistema de curación espiritual. Únicamente a través de la lectura del libro de texto de esta religion, Ciencia y Salud con Clave de las Escrituras por Mary Baker Eddy, se sanaron completamente ambas situaciones rápidamente.
Pronto se dió cuenta que el entendimiento espiritual que recién había conseguido, le
capacitaba para sanar a otras personas. Después de comprobar por varios años el efecto práctico de estas enseñanzas en la sanación de la enfermedad y otras situaciones de desarmonía en la vida humana, en 1986 renunció a su carrera y decidió trasladarse a los Estados Unidos para entrar en la práctica pública de la Ciencia Cristiana como su única profesión.
Su deseo de enseñar a otros la práctica de la curación espiritual, le guió a tomar en Boston la Clase Normal en 2009 para comenzar a ser un maestro autorizado de Ciencia Cristiana en España. Entre sus aficiones se encuentran la música, la tecnología , el estudio de las culturas y las artes, y asimismo ha desarrollado un interés especial por la arquitectura.
José de Dios y su esposa, Elizabeth, comparten su tiempo entre España y los Estados Unidos.
In English: Elsah, Illinois USA and Badajoz, Spain — José de Dios is originally from Spain, but has been living in the United States for a number of years. As a teenager, he felt a special interest in music and decided to study guitar, with an emphasis on flamenco. This led him to form his own group and perform in various venues.
Later, he worked for the government for a decade, the last five years of which were spent as a special agent in the Intelligence Services. In his personal life, he faced an enormous challenge in early 1979. A relative’s sudden illness, for which the doctors could find no cure, as well as his own almost complete loss of hearing due to a congenital lesion, which he was told would require immediate surgery or result in total deafness — and he could not continue in his position at work until he had surgery — forced him to seek a solution to these difficulties. He chose not to have surgery. After trying a series of different alternatives, in December of that year José de Dios was introduced to Christian Science by a doctor, his guitar student, who knew of his reluctance towards conventional medicine and encouraged him to explore this system of spiritual healing. Both situations were quickly and completely healed solely through reading the textbook of this religion, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
He soon realized that the spiritual understanding he had just achieved enabled him to heal others. After several years of proving the practical effect of these teachings in the healing of illness and other inharmonious situations of day-to-day life, he gave up his career in 1986 and decided to move to the United States to enter the public practice of Christian Science as his only profession.
His desire to teach others how to practice spiritual healing led him to take Christian Science Normal Class in 2009, in Boston, in order to become an authorized Christian Science teacher in Spain. His hobbies include music, technology, the study of different cultures and the arts, and he has also developed a special interest in architecture.
